Lynsey Burkins - author

Lynsey Burkins, coauthor of In Community With Readers, is a proud educator who has worked for children for the past twenty years. She works toward creating anti-racist spaces where children feel free, have agency, and know they are loved. She believes books are primary vehicles to help children become more free. Lynsey received her master's degree from The Ohio State University in Language, Literacy, and Culture. She is also the coauthor of Classroom Design for Student Agency.

Franki Sibberson

Franki Sibberson - author

Franki Sibberson, coauthor of In Community With Readers, Still Learning to Read, and Beyond Leveled Books, is a literacy leader with over thirty years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher in Ohio. Franki served as president of the National Council of Teachers of English. She is also the coauthor of Classroom Design for Student Agency.

 

Tracy Johnston Zager

Tracy Johnston Zager - author

Tracy Johnston Zager has worked in many schools over the course of her career, first as a fourth-grade teacher, then as a supervisor of pre-service teachers and their in-service mentors, and currently as a math coach. Becoming the Math Teacher You Wish You'd Had grew out of Tracy's work in classrooms, where she's most in her element, learning together with teachers and students over time.

Nicora Placa

Nicora Placa - author

Nicora Placa, author of 6 Tools for Collaborative Mathematics Coaching, loves teaching math in New York City, and supporting students and teachers continues to guide her work. Currently, Nicora is an assistant professor at Hunter College, where she teaches pre-service educators and conducts research on professional development. Nicora continues to work with schools to provide collaborative coaching and professional development support.
