Bridges to Another World

About the Series

We are living in revolutionary times. Social structures that have stabilized the world order since the end of World War II can no longer function. The climate crisis, deep challenges to systemic racism and gendered oppression, the crisis of our political institutions, including the challenges to democratic governance from the white-supremacist right, and, perhaps above all, the unaccountable privileges of global capital, combine to make our present moment deeply unstable. It is a time of great opportunity and of urgent need for change. This series seeks to engage with and promote the positive possibilities of our moment through pathways to another world that works for everyone. Works in the series look at current problems through the lens of the 500-year process of racial capitalism that is at the root of so many of our current crises. The brief volumes in this series present thoughtful analyses of the roots of our current crises and pathways toward solutions which grow from those radical analyses.
